You know what you have to do. But you don’t do it. You succumb to the resistance. Learn how to overcome the resistance for an optimal life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are very few people in the world who actually have no idea what getting healthy means. But for most people – we’ve heard it time and time again: Diet<\/a> and exercise. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So if the answer is truly that simple<\/a>, why are we the fattest nation in the world, with the numbers increasing each and every year? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s the resistance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s a lacking of motivation. It’s the difficulty setting up and maintaining positive habits. It’s living in a world that is too damn expensive so we have to work all the damn time in order to just keep up. It’s the last thing on your mind. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s the resistance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stephen Pressfield has a really great book called “The War of Art”<\/a> on how to overcome creative resistance in your life. But creative resistance isn’t the only resistance. It’s just one resistance. But the same concept applies: It’s the resistance to do what you know how to do that keeps you where you are at. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to overcome the resistance? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

JUST. DO. IT. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes – that slogan made famous by Nike is the simplest solution to any resistance in your life. Just do it. Whatever “it” is in your life – just do it. Go do it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You’re tired? Do it anyway. Long day? Do it anyway. Inconvenient? Do it anyway. It’s too early? Do it anyway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over-simplistic? Yes. I get it – it isn’t that easy. If it were that easy – we all would be running around with billions of dollars in our bank accounts, traveling the world with our beautiful fit bodies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But this is the truth<\/a> about what you need to do to obtain everything you want. No one can do your pushups for you. You have to put in the time. You have to put in the effort. There are a million and one reasons why you can’t or won’t. All you need to do is find that one reason you CAN and WILL – and then go do the work<\/a>. Put in the effort. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
